Need help in config Dual core or core 2 duo

I am planning to buy a new system. I will be using that system for basic purposes like internet browsing ,movies and music and medium gaming( I want to play some old 3d Games, at better fps and better quality settings).
Due to budget constraints ,I have to take choice between these two combos
1. core 2 Duo e7200 and mother board based on DG31 chipset
2. Dual core E2200 and zotac Geforce 9300

which is the best combination?
Will there be any significance improvement in the performance between core duo and core 2 duo processors for the basic things I do ?

Plz anyone help me......

Go for the first config. Core 2 Duo is waaaaaay better than Intel dual core ones.
