KDEmod 4.1: Few queries

Just a few normal queries in KDEmod 4.1

1) How do i change Startup & shutdown sound?
2) I curretly use ppp demon to dial my BSNL broadband connection, for which i have use sudo. how to i make it passwordless?. that is a normal user could dial the network connection
3) When will i would be able to see native QT4 apps?
Now applications which are intergal part of K Desktop are not in QT4, like Amarok. their about diolog box still says "Build on KDE 3.5".

4) I have installed aspell package, still the spell checking in firefox does not work. what else i need to do to activate system wide spell check

In my KUbuntu 8.04 with KDE 4.1, Network Managaer (in the tray) has an option (by default) which says something like "Dial some connection". When I choose it, DataOne is connected. It doesn't ask for password.
