Ubuntu is our choice of OS....
BTW KDE is also good and as simple as XP....

well i tried to install ubuntu but getiin some issues with the partitioning...will i ave to delete my windows partition for installing ubuntu?...or is there any tutorial i can have a look into

Just google as Ubuntu installation issue and you may find a plenty of blogs and forums explain those things clearly...

Sure dude... Why not..even i cam across with the exact pbm and i just del the xp and first install Ubuntu and then installed xp.. thats all

thnx for that guys...have now installed ubuntu but having trbl in using evolution managed to access my gmail account...but have added the contacts in it...but due to some reason may m doing it wrong it is unable to find any of the contacts when i try to find it in writing a new mail....
