Default help in kubuntu 8.04

i recently installed kubuntu8.04 on my laptop.
now i am not able to see any windows on my panel once i minimize them. i have to alt+tab to switch between them. is there anyway to reset my panel or remove and recreate it?

also is there any way to change between powermanagement modes and get kubuntu to go to sleep when the battery is below a particular level.

You can right click on the panel, choose 'add new applet' and select 'task manager' or 'task tray'. I forgot the exact names, but you can get this option back from the 'add new applet' menu.

For powermanagement, search for battery/laptop in the repository. There is something named battery monitor (I think or it may part of some other package). I am using it. It has lot of options. In my opinion, it is better than the one in Windows Vista.

I can you give you the exact names by today evening (once I get to my PC).
