Default suggest a fedora

My frnd's antique PC has a CD ROM. So i cant find a Fedora(7 or above) for him on torrents or anywhere, which can fit in a CD.
so can any one please suggest me if there's any fedora version lesser than 700 MB.
he will use it only for shell programming.
Also, if the answer is no, please suggest me how to write bootable DVD in to two or more CDs.

Do you only want fedora? you can also try Puppy Linux or DSL as its very light.
Please specify the PC configuration.

Well, you can do that on remote 'free shell accounts' too.
e.g arbornet.org, grex.org etc are some that I know provide remote shell accounts. Here are some more. You don't need to have any linux distro or anything. Just telnet or ssh into it and start shelling. Hope ur friend won't misuse em.

Neways u can get fedora CD isos from here.

WHAT ?

You can't find a CD edition of fedora ? How can that be ?
I suggest you look more carefully. There indeed exists a set of CDs for fedora. You even have live CDs.

And yeah, if shell programming is all you want, any distro will do as long as it shipps with a 2.6 kernel and GNUtils.
