Ndiswrapper Strange Problem

I am running Ubuntu 7.04 currently on which ndiswrapper works perfectly for me..but when i try Hardy Heron..i follow the same procedure..(blacklisting ssb and b43legacy as well) and ndiswrapper installs the driver shows hardware present and all..but it just doesnt start..when i do an ifconfig..it doesnt show any network adapter associated to ndiswrapper whereas in 7.04 it does..
what could be the poblem guys??

Did u do 'sudo modprobe ndiswrapper'?

yes i did that..but it didnt work..as i said there is no network card being associated to ndiswrapper..

And what does 'iwlist scan' reveal?
