Default help me about sounds


hai

iam using linux but i cannot play sound.but i get video in redhat so i want they sound driver .where i get it .i use asus motherboard

@h4x I think he is facing issues with sound driver. not with any player.

@prem please post your distro and sound card details.

You have to install the xmms plugin for mp3 as for video you can use mplayer.Which version of redhat are you using?

Try using the following command in a terminal window (as root)

alsaconf
If alsaconf is present, it will try and detect your soundcard, and will ensure that the modules get loaded on booting.
