Right Off the Assembly Line

and i have downlaoded gcc,c++ (.rpm file) but i could not install it on my mandriva.it gives error that architecture is not supported.what it means.....?please tell me........ |

I guess you downloaded files of a different architecture than yours. If you have an Intel based PC then you should download the files having names ending in " .i586.rpm"
