How can I configure to run Dial Up internet on SuSE 9.1 ?
How can I install programs from DIGIT DVD onto SuSE 9.1 ?

Are any ANTIVIRUS programs available for LINUX .. BTW, have LINUX viruses come up?
Plz help me install MPlayer from the DIGIT DVD..
Also, how do I run DVD movie files saved on the hard disk in LINUX? Which softwares are available.. Kaffeine does not play them..
Finally, where is the latest version of RealPlayer and Adobe Acrobat available on the net and also how can I install them ?
Last but not the least, how do I install KDE from the DIGIT DVD ?

Linux virus are rare but to be on the safe side use clamav an antivirus for linux. To install mplayer i think susi has a package manager use it as all dependency problems are looked into this way
Acrobat reader 7 is available for linux.
For dvd playback use xine.
for installing kde check out the forum there is a thread on this subject.

In suse you can install files very easily just right click and select install with yast.I don`t know abut deb files.Use yast to configure your modem and create a connection. IN suse everything can be done using yast

Hmm u said u have an internal modem rite. Then there is a 90% chance tht ur modem won't work in Linux. When u start trying to configure ur modem u will start hearing words like 'WinModem','Software simulated Modem', 'Cheaper Internal Modem' etc. These stuffs won't work in Linux. This problem caused me to drop Linux.

But this is no solution.. I went in YAST and there configured to install software for my internal modem (which it recognized) and asked for the SUSE CD. So, after installing, when I clicked Dial Up in the K Menu (i.e Start Button of LINUX, I don't know its name), it showed some error and I did not find any place for entering details like Server name, Phone no., Username, Password, etc..
Plz help.........

1)
There r very few virus in Linux and there r very few Antivirus also. According to Linux For You, popular brands like Norton have Linux Version also.

2) No Idea sry

3) I could use Open with in Fedora Linux

4) download.com, real players website and adobes website. Refer their help on how to install

5) I think it came bundled with a few text files on how to install them. Anyway the whole process is command line
