problem of installing ubuntu 7.10

hi ,
I booted ubuntu live CD,after it get installed Successfully, When i boot my system and chose ubuntu in GRUB loader menu,it shows Synchronous out of range(Blank Screen),But i am able to work smoothly when i choose in Rescue mode,then i use init 6 for entering in GUI mode... Help me to fix this issue By TuxGanesh

try booting into rescue mode and from command line "xorg --reconfigure"

oh...yes yes
may be i have poor memory...it's been long since i used ubuntu.
