Default Nautilus Crash

While adding media files to playlist, that is opening folders containing music and adding them,Nautilus crashes.
Then it starts showing,"cannot display contents of this folder" for any folder i try to open.
Even the menus get a different type of icons and all files icons change and become unaccessable.Have to restart to fix it.
I think it is a bug in nautilus.

Is there any workaround..didnt find any. Also please suggest some alternative to nautilus as this is a really bad bug.

Mine does not crash either, and I have my audio previews turned on. What version of Nautilus are you using?

Thunar is very good, and eats way less memory compared Nautilus.

Nautilus 2.20 with Gutsy Gibbon.
Many people have reported this bug at launchpad.net.

Looks like a bad install of the distro. I had similar issues when I installed fedora under a bad RAM stick.
