Default About Linux


I have a computer having Intel Dual core 1.66 Ghz processor,512 MB DDR-II RAM,and 80 Gb SATA Hrd disk drive. I installed both Windows XP and Red Hat Linux 5 .When i try to start linux, It gives me an error message "Attention,out of range".When i try to remove linux from my computer ,the bootloader (GRUB) cannot be deleted.Please help me to delete linux and bootloader from my computer

I think that fdisk /mbr should remove it but Im not sure . Might want to wait for other experts to confirm if thats the right thing to do. Because Im not sure if it would screw up your whole system.

Yes fdisk /mbr if you're on a win98 startup disk else boot with the XP cd, head into recovery console, and type "fixmbr". MBR will be rendered clean of GRUB.

Then boot ino Windows, head to Administrative tools > Computer management > Logical disk manager and delete all the unknown partitions.

Just delete all Linux Partitons from XP & then boot using XP cd and select recovery option as said by hitboxx.
Then just issue a fixmbr command & you are done.
