No, am getting that error on my sister's PC too. I am not bothering to open windows and run fsck on it. Haven't had any problems yet.

more problems with same hard disk..so posting in same thread..donno if i shud post it in hardware troubleshooting.

2 days back i accidently kicked my cpu hard while trying to power off the ups.
From the next day,the samsung PATA hard disk which has my bootloader didnt get detected, after 2-3 times tightening the connections,i got it to work and all worked well.
But now the partitions in that hard disk is accessible only from my Ubuntu. Its listed in windows, but properties show nothing.
Also if I double click, they say it is not format,do you want to.
When this kinda error occured last time,I had to replace the hard disk.
What should I do?
If its a h/w issue, why does Linux have no prob with it?

It will tell you if it's a hardware problem or not. If it's not a problem with hard disk, then you can prolly try in Software Troubleshooting section.
