Default Linux Query 'Bout Partitions

I recently installed FC3 on a free space on an extended partition. Now, in place of the free space, i have two partitions, 1 is 102 Mb and the other is 6.73 Gb. The later is shown in My Computer (XP) but I cannot access it. I hid it with the help of TweakUI and both OSes are running fine. When I had installed FC3 previously, in a primary partition, I did not have any such probs.

Anyways..............

Actually, I let Linux manage the partitions and I don't think swap partition has been created. The 103 Mb partition shows the File System type EXT2. The other does not have any file system. Is there any way that I can create a Swap partition and give it to Linux or does the swap partition already exists..............

if you selected the automatic option then the partitions created are
/boot size 102MB file type ext2
/ size <big> file type ext3
/swap size ~2xRAM size (roughly)

so dont worry just load linux and give a command
#free

it will show the size of swap

or run
#fdisk /dev/hda

p

see the partitions you will see the swap and all other partitions.

Thanks pradeep_chauhan
The
#free
command showed that I have a 256 Mb swap partition. Actually, Powerquest Partition Magic and XP(Inbuilt) Logical Disk Manager showed only 2 extra partitions so......
