Default Any MPD users here?


Havent seen anyone in our forums mention MPD at all,
Does anyone here use MPD?

You mean Music Player Daemon? Yeah I have used it long back, nice command line player. You also get frontend GUIs like Sonata(AFAIR) for it.

And yeah Sonata rocks.
Just made this thread to get to know folks on the forum, who use MPD.
If its not ok to be on open-source, maybe you can move it to chit-chat.

Harsh and I have used mpd too. I have stopped using it now though as I rather prefer setting up a small playlist in mplayer and playing it.

I used to mess with it using the gDesklets MPD player desklet. But I screwed up, and I have never touched it again.
