Default ubuntu on my laptop

Apolgies if this is not the correct section...

I have a compaq v3225au laptop and I am interested in intaling Ubuntu... Will my lappy support this?

I think urs is a amd turion based laptop with nvidia graphics?
well,u need to install proprietary nvidia driver after completing the installation.will work fine.I think u should install 32-bit(i386) version of Ubuntu.
