Default Installing Linux from USB [not TO] drive

I downloaded OpenSuSE 10.1 recently. The problem is, that my DVD drive is faulty and can't be repaired. So, as of now I am totally without a DVD drive.

So, is there anyway I can install OpenSuSE via a USB drive. I have a iPod, which i can format completely and do something on the hard drive if needed. Or, basically, I want to install linux without a DVD drive [or CD drive for that purpose].

Any suggestions?

P.S: Suggestions like, "get a new drive" are not helpful. Try not to post them. thanks a lot.
