Default Required Bandwidth Meter


Please recommend me a bandwidth meter which is similar to DU meter. I am using Fedora 8.

ipband - daemon for subnet bandwidth monitoring with reporting via email
iptotal - monitor for IP traffic, not requiring SNMP
nload - A realtime console network usage monitor

I wud recommend bwm-ng. Nload is also nice! Besides, there is gkrellm then which shows network statistics and finally there's ntop which shows loadzzzzz of action!

#yum install bwm-ng nload ntop

I use vnstat and Im happy with it. It also has a php front end you can install if you want graphs and a GUI interface for viewing statistics.

well also if u are using bsnl or mtnl,the plugin in firefox is really useful....i use that alone in linux...
