Setting up Nokia 5700 in Linux Mint

I installed Linux Mint on my system.
I then went to setup my Nokia 5700 Express Music as a modem for internet.
I followed the steps mentioned here:Internet Connection in Linux via Mobile

I got the following error:

always try with "sudo".so,

sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

but before that make sure lspcmcia or lspci lists ur device as detected!this phone should work in Linux.try!

Thanks for replying praka123,i thought this thread is dead now.
I tried the cmds you gave the following were the results.I think my pc detected the phone.Now plz guide me further.

$ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf

and append this

You have mentioned some a & b in the field.

Naah! Username and password should not be kept empty if it doesn't needs a verification by your provider.. that is why 'a' or 'b' or anything ...

And for #5 :
I mentioned it earlier to append and not to delete anything and for the phone replace it by *99#

Dialer Defaults code is used when you are not providing any argument with wvdial

Like you can replace your entire wvdial.conf with

[Modem1]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Baud = 460800
SetVolume = 0
Dial Command = ATDT
Init1 = ATZ
Init3 = ATM0
FlowControl = CRTSCTS
[Dialer Defaults]
Username = abcd

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?
