query abt graphics on LINUX...?

Hi!
Plz tell me that m i able to run the 3d desktop in different distos? coz preivously i installed SUSE 10.2 'n' i didn't get 3d desktop support?now i hv tried ubuntu live cd?it also doesn't ?now i'm waiting the digit to purchase and install ubuntu from it? i hv Intel D101GGC Mobo with ATI XPRESS 200 series integrated graphics,512 MB DDR RAM plz any one tell me how can i get 3d desktop functions in LINUX? 'coz i easily getting AERO in VISTA and this also with out installing any drivers

also wt da diff in ubuntu CD 'n' DVD coz my downloaded DVD was with errors approx. 510 error

Ubuntu DVD = Alternate CD + Live CD + Additional WM (KDE, XFCE) + "main" component repository software.

I hope Ati fglrx drivers are there for 3d in linux.

ATI Xpress 200m chipset used to be problematic. But with the release of new drivers things are fine. You will need to download and install the new ATi drivers for full OpenGL support (3D effects to work).
