Add/Remove pckages not working...

after googling and trying all methods possible, i have given up.. ..

Add/remove software in fedora is not opening, this is the error...

Add/Remove Software (Pirut) Error: Unable to retrieve software information...
saying some network problem....

tried everything, edited yum.repos.d, net is working fine.... still cant figure out the problem....please help..

pirut sometimes hangs with internet connection.only option u have to is to check for some rpm repositories which is down.that may even make pirut hang.
using terminal and yum command is more adviceable than using buggy pirut or up2date gui.

Try re-installing fedora-release rpm.
