Default Tata USB modem in Ubuntu - Pretty Easy !

I could connect internet using Airtel GPRS (cable).

Tried Reliance PCMCIA card, but no success yet.

Searched for TATA plug2surf USB modem working in google but not much luck, so I thought of following the same instructions -here and it worked perfectly !

Small changes needed.

Phone = *99#
Username = aa
Password = bbc

change those to

Phone = #777
Username = internet
Password = internet

Thats it ! No seperate driver install, nothing. I really started loving Ubuntu

Now, is this what Kajol says in her ad ? I mean truely plug n play ? LOL. In Win XP we need to install driver etc, but here in Ubuntu, nothing ! Pretty cool and I am happy !

@Gigacore

I think it should work, I do not know why but I have a strong feeling that it will work. Please give a try and post your experience.

The details (how to do - you may be knowing it already) are at the links above. Also, the username, password and number parameters, change that according to BSNL settings.
