Default US ROBOTICS-FEDORA CORE 3 CONFIGURATION


Hello friends,
i upgraded from redhat to fedora core 3. I am using US robotics external modem which worked well in RH 9.
when i tried kppp to configure it says unable to open modem.
the modem is in com1 port
i used /dev/ttsy0
Can any please help me

There is no way that the external modem does not work irrespective of the make which dialer do you use? Use wvdial and give a command wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
see what is the output on the screen. wvdial finds a link to the modem even if its on ttsy0/1 In case of problem post the output of the above command.
