remove on linux distro and install another ??

hi
currently i have ubuntu 7.04 on my pc with xp now i want to install open suse 10.3 . how can i remove ubuntu and install suse ? directly formating the drive and then instaling suse will that remove ubuntus entries on boot menu ??
if not how can i do that ??

yes do the firs thing.
format and install

[Tech_Wiz]

While installing Suse choose to install over Ubuntu and Format the Partiotion before installing. i.e. Use the"/" partition for Suse to install and keep the same Swap partition.

This will remove Ubuntu and you will get Grub / Lilo with Win and Suse Options only.
