Default Ubuntu Torrent


guys i just want to try ubuntu gusty gibbon..

can any one answer my following question

1.) shall i wait for the release in the digit dvd or shall idownload from net??
2>) if so .. is there a torrent related to gusty gibbon... idont want to loose a file while downloading in the normal method..

3.) wht is the procedure / step to have a dual boot along with vista??

1. If u dont have fast internet wait for Digit to give..

2. Download the .torrent file from ubuntu site and use it from a torrent client to start downloading.

3. Install Vista First.... Create two new raw partitions.. One with 6+ GBs.. to install OS and other within 1 GB for SWAP memory...

While installing ubuntu, select the "Install GRUB Boot Loader" (It will be enabled by default)

So u have a dual boot now

download the torrent from linuxtracker.org .they give superfast leagal linux torrents.
make 2 partitions.one for swap.from 256 mb to 1 GB.i GB i wud reccomend so that u can use the swap for any second distro also.
make a partion for OS reccomended 10 GB + if u wanna use it regularly.
and yes do try GG coz it ROX.
guyz , i wanted to ask a ques that for how many distros can we use a single swap partition??

^^any number of distros can use a single swap partition.
as at any given time u will boot only a single distro.

Yeah sachin_kothari is right, one swap can be used by any number of *nix+Solaris distributions.

What he meant to say was that the site is perfectly legal to visit and post here.

@shrish_nagar - Mostly it does, but in cases where it doesn't it isn't that difficult to make an adjustment to the currently active GRUB.

Enterprise editions of some distros are illegal to download and use from torrents unless you have paid for it.
