Integrated Webcam support on Linux

Hey guys, my friend has an HCL Laptop, featuring 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD & Intel Celeron processor. The problem is that he has been using LInux mint for quite a while now and Mint doesn't supports his integrated webcam. Please help!

You need to check out the make of the webcam and search for the drivers.

try the output of lspci and see what it gives then you can try searching if any drivers exist. There was nce this article that someone had written linux drivers for more than 200 web cams. Maybe you'll find what you want.
