perl 5.x is ported into linux like knoppix , red hat and debian. i dont know other distros, but most linux have perl

@h4xbox, perl 5.x was ported from linux distros like knoppix, red hat and debian to other operating systems, and not otherwise as you said.

www.activestate.com is not the perl website. It is the website of the windows port of Perl.
