Is perl compiler a free software? if so please send me a copy of that or please tell me from where i can get it.

perl 5.x is ported into linux like knoppix , red hat and debian. i dont know other distros, but most linux have perl

www.activestate.com is not the perl website. It is the website of the windows port of Perl.
