pradeep, the KDE 3.3 and 3.4 are much better it seems. They have tweaked a lot of components internally. The KDE 3.3 on my system is running on par with other windowmanagers now.. difference is highly visible while using the plastik theme.

I have KDE 3.3 on my gentoo system and it takes 42M of memory to run compare this with fluxbox which takes 5MB of memory. so i still feel that kde is still a heavy desktop and I only use it to impress firsttime linux guys or a windows guy to show "hum kise se cum nahi"
