Default Fedora Core 4 Test 1 released

Fedora Core 4 Test 1 released

Ok Linuxaholics, Your Fedora Core 4 Test 1 has been released. This release comes with prereleases of GNOME 2.10, KDE 3.4, OpenOffice.org 2 as well the latest server software like MySQL 4.1.10 and PHP 5.0.3.

Notable features of FC4test1 include:
. gcc 4.0 as the primary system compiler
. GNOME 2.10.0 Beta 2 included
. The Eclipse IDE included along with some featured plugins
. A solid foundation of Java packages for developers (ant, gcj, tomcat, struts, more classpath stuff) and the ability to possibly run Java apps through gij.
. Lots of package updates
. Started movement of packages to Fedora Extras
. Did I mention PowerPC support?

no no not on the data one but in the college they have 3x2Mbps Lease line. It takes about 15-20m per cd.

GNUrag dude i dunn even knw ABCD of linux

i installed linux for the first time abt 3-4 yrs ago when i was 14 something and it never started in graphical mode

it was stuck in dos and asking for root pasword and them at a dos prompt like thing

so i thot for 2 yrs tht tht was linux!!

and then i got mandrake 8.1 3 cds installed them abt 3 times and then realized how to use the graphical mode by boot in graphcial mode sdirectly as user *** from the installation process

then tried a few things in here and there

btw i never commented tht PowerPC thing

it was written at tht source of tht link, so i copy pasted it here

I wonder that's possible.. Distrowatch lists 50 GNU-on-top-of-Linux distributions right now.. There might be hundreds of more unknown distros in the wild.
