How to extract soft form Kubuntu

Is there any way to extract software form Kubuntu Live Cd and use it in

Ubuntu ( I have ubuntu on my sys )

?

If there is plz provide me steps

Coz I am a noob in linux .

Well, Most of the softwares are pre-installed, i.e. the Live CD is just a SquashFS image!

You better get the Kubuntu Alternate CD, they have all the packages as DEBs, so you can let Synaptic handle the CD.
