    Default HTTPS, FTP proxy ??

    Now, i have enabled DSL sharing through LAN. For HTTP, i have configured httpd as proxy server. For HTTPS (web based) like google, etc httpd works. But my dad can't use his company's SSL VPN. The VPN service launches a Network Connect App which gives an error. I tried enabling SSL proxy in httpd but it did not work. A similar thing for FTP. Plz suggest good FTP and HTTPS proxy servers.

    Oops. My mistake, it's transparent proxy. And that's what he might have setup.
    Can you point to the how-to or whatever you've refered to for the setup?

    @mehul,

    As u said in our chat, i setup an internal ip for my PC 192.168.0.1 and on my dad's lappy 192.168.0.2

    Then after doing that i cud access my site on my pc but cud not browse the WWW. then i enabled the proxy requests in httpd.conf then it started working. Though it worked for HTTP and HTTPS (Through IE ) Network Connect did not work which is HTTPS (Non IE). This is what i need the soln. for.

    [edit]

    Will squid work for HTTPS and FTP proxy? And Does it need a SSL cert for that?
