Default Firestarter in Ubuntu 7.04

If I install firestarter and activate it in Ubuntu 7.04, not a single web page is open in the browser. I check the setting in the firestarter as far as my knowledge every thing is ok. If I deactivate the firestarter, then all the the web page open. After failed to configure I uninstall firestarter.
Now my question is if I activate firestarter and wish to open web page, what setting I have to change and where ?

use "lokkit" it is easy and no need to care after installing it.as with firestarter,u need to select "ppp0" as the internet device.also add firestarter to startup(in menu System>preferences>Sessions>startup)
