best music player for gnome?
i am using ubuntu 7.04 and the music player that came with is pathetic to say the least.
i tried banshee and was impressed with it's plugins and all.
but still am not quite satisfied so am looking for a better music player pls suggest.
i am looking for these features in particular
multimedia key support
minimizes to taskbar
would be nic if in right click context menu option like "add to now playing list"
etc
plugins
nice interface.
keep in mind i am on gnome.
thx.

Re: best music player for gnome?
If you use Winamp in windows, then Go for Audacious.....Best One.(In my case)
Similar Xmms or Beep Media Player.

Re: best music player for gnome?
xmms has more plugins, and even equaliser is better then winamps equaliser.
amarok sounds good even without using any plugins, interface is good and handling playlist is also easy.

Re: best music player for gnome?
I vote for Exaile....
But i have used Amarok on Gnome (am on Ubuntu 7.04) and it has never crashed..
Btw what i miss in Exaile is the keyboard control of the playlist available in Amarok.i.e talking about the [Super Key]=[Combinations] of Amarok..
and well Uncle Rodney says, "10/10, Amarok is seriously super!"
