Fedora 7 - Dialup connection

I want to know how to setup dialup connection in Fedora 7.
I have tried KPP,but it doesn't detect my modem.
My modem is an internal D-link.
I have heard linux has problems with Win modems.Plz reply.

win modems are *not* supported.though some modems "works".visit http://linmodems.org and use "scanmodem" utility to ensure whether ur winmodem is supported

get an external modem if u really wants(my Dax external modem is lying here for past 2 yrs-thx to dataone bb )

Though you will get the driver from Linuxant, don't even think of browsing the web. The speed is just 14kbps. Also, contributing to BSNL, it would just get slower
