Help login problen in Fedora

I installed Fedora 7 in my system. After successful installation when I rebooted the system it ask me for login name and PW.
The Screen appears as:

Fedora release 7 (Moonshine)
Karnel 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7 on an i686

hostname login : I typed here hostname whcih I was created during installation and hit enter
Password : I type here the PW which I was created during installation and hit enter
screen appears as :
login incorrect

After the failure
hostname login : I typed here "root"
Password : I type here the installations times PW
Scree becames as under
Last login : date and time on tty1

sometime "tty1" becames as "tty2", "tty3", "tty5".
I i try to create a new user by command "adduser" it displays help menu.

Please help me. Is there any way to login to Fedora with out login name and
PW. If there is no way please advice me how to uninstall Fedora.

There is no need to alarm !!
I was introduced to Linux by fedora core-2, afterwards it is a happy journey for me.. for three years, I was with my Windows XP and nine other distros in two hards disks, but two days ago all gone in to smoke, because trying to instal a new distro Pardus -2007, accidently erase whole of the disks partition, now completing the windows installation and two linux distro, Dream linux and PcLinux.

Only yesterday I has the same problem , mistyped the password while installing the dream linux, could not able to log on it. So, I press
Ctrl+Alt+F2 key to
shell screen
give root and root password

typed
'adduser -m vaithy' (without quotes- vaithy is my user name so may type your user name)
it replied,
user vaithy already exist
I typed,
passwd vaithy

Enter new unix password

typed, my new password
Then it asked the the confirmation
again typed the password,
then exited from it by pressing Ctrl+alt+f7 or f6 depend

Just a bit of advise,

If you are not doing any project involving C,C++ and Java, and you are new to Linux, then try the live Distros such as PCLinux, ubuntu, and Linux Mint , Knoppix etc.. Fedora and Suse are for heavyweight championships...there is no need to uninstall fedora if you don,t want it .. simply format it with another distro installation or simply use Windows Diskmanagement to format it that is all

For those who love dating live cds are best!!
But for those who want committed marraige then use Fedora and Suse

Thanks for your reply. I already installed Ubunto 4.1 from Digit April 06 DVD.
by formating Fedora 7. Now I am facing problem with configuring internet connection. Please go through my thread and reply.
