One of the oldest site i found on net, the way they use to install Linux in d year 1997 Floppyless installation.

Installing Linux without working floppy drive

http://www.linuxmigration.com/quickr...edia.html#bwin

installing red hat from floppies, i think the method might work for latest OS also but before that u will have to download rawrite and rawwrite and hav lot of patience to do it.

No use. There are 100's of such sites listed in various threads in this section. All of them have been either put up as stickies or linked from a sticky but who cares to read all that.

actually people are seeing these sites but again they are confused, because what they believe is Alternate OS are supposedly looks n feel like Window$!
reg Gnome and Kde Psychocats site is not so reliable it is biased and a troll(kde fanboy teh author is)
I am yet to find an unbiased review of both DE>in a nutshell Gnome is for simplicity(though customizable) and Kde is for control freaks.
edit:found one research paper for Gnome vs Kde for n00b's.
