The best way to learn Linux is to actually work with it with a Linux Bible book next to you. And oh, Linux cannot be "quickly" learnt, people can spend years with it and not come even close to what its possible to do with it. But its basic mucking around with Linux you want, get yourself a 200 buck book and a couple of hours on the weekend and you should be OK.
