Upgrading Ubuntu to Kubuntu help wanted?

I got kubuntu 7.04 from shipit today. now i've ubuntu in my system and i have downloaded and installed few codecs and other applications... I dont like to install all those things once again... So can i upgrade from ubuntu to kubuntu. If yes how??

better if u try kubuntu in a separate install.if u want kde in ubuntu,just install ubuntu-kde from menu System>admin>synaptic

^^ kubuntu interface?anyways is a kde interface!all the software in kubuntu will be available in Ubuntu too;use apt(synaptic).so i feel installing kde will be giving u the same experiance as kubuntu

if u have low hardware resources go for xfce Xubuntu,else for eye candy try either Ubuntu(GNOME) or kubuntu-kde.

Just install Kde. It wud be better if u keep gnome too. U may like to fiddle around with themes, desktop etc. So in that case variety wud be nice!

KUbuntu => Kde (by default)
Ubuntu => Gnome (by default)
XuBuntu => Xfce (yea)

U can install Kde,gnome,Xfce all and more like fluxbox, enlightenment, blackbox etc and then u can switch to whatever desktop manager installed whenever u like!!

Just like u have winamp,realplayer,windows media player to play music files, similarly these are desktop managers!!
