Default Using Amarok to play video.

I am using Amarok to play my music and manage. It even plays video cds, in that i hear the voice. Can't it show video? I like its snazzy interface but can't see the video anywhere. Or is amarok just an audio player?

Google suggests that amarok doesn't support video playback currently but version 2 will do so. http://linux.wordpress.com/2007/03/1...t-is-underway/
But, there's a way around http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=41435
It's a script which calls Kmplayer from amarok, you can edit it to call any other video player as you wish too.
Give it a try and see.

Thanks @mehul for the link. I was also searching for something like that....

BTW, latest version of Linux Mint (Cassandra) will include Songbird, which I think can play any media format....
