voice chat in ubuntu?

I AM FINALLY GOTTEN INTO UBUNTU

after reading about so long in so many places i had to try it out myself and alll i can say is I AM LOVING IT.

You can try kopete.If you only want voice chat for gtalk, you also can try tapioca.

yes i tried ,greate UI nd its provides a pluggable interface for different protocols, such as SIP/XMPP.

i am a real newbie and i searched for tapioca on google and i was able to find the tapioca project BUT DO HOW DO I GET IT INSTALLED

theere seem to be 7-8 files some in tar.gz or something do i have to download all the files and if so after i download what do i do

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH where's the exe?????

someone pls tell me how do i install it give nice detailed version for dummies (eheh it's more for my friends )

exe files are on windows not on linux. Search for it in synaptic.

i think it is the source tar ball u have to complie it yourself
extract the tarball > go the folder(which u have just extrated) in the terminal > give ./<insert file name here> > them "make" > after it " make install"
