need a few gud softwares 4 linux

nw evrythng seems to b settlng down so ill nw need a few softwares so dat i can enjoy my stay on linux n make it my permanent

tell me,
1) A gud internet security suite or atleast a gud av (ok i heard linux kernel is secure n all dat stuff bt if somethng goes inside my system may b it cant affect me wen im on linux bt can affect me wen im on windows or may b wen i make back ups.

2) A gud cd/dvd writing tool.

3) compression tool

4) music player. amarok is btr bt if i can get an application wch has plugins like v hv DFX 4 winamp,win med player n real player on windows.i mean DFX simply adds life into ur audio.nethng closer to dat in linux?

5) movie player xmms?

6) defragment tool

7) image allrounder like alcohol or powerISO

add some if u thnk der is sumthng imp i hv forgottn

Your mind is still in windows. Many of the things aren't needed in linux.
1) Windows malware won't execute on linux so your windows will be safe
2) K3B
3) bunzip2
4) and 5) many of them
6) not needed. We don't waste time on stupid things that will interrupt our world domination plans
7) mount can do most of those things

--> Not necessary. All you need to do is create your own user account and don't login to root account unless you have any installation or admin work to do.

ya windows malware n all won execute in linux bt does dat also mean dat i won get infectd by ne window virus/trojan/worm/spyware while on linuxc?

Linux is almost virus proof.Linux does not have .exe files.
windows viruses cannot affect linux anyway.AV's for Linux are actually for scanning win32 viruses may be e-mail scanners
