Dataone and Suse 10.1

can anyone help me to configure dataone broadband internet connection in Suse 10.1?

In suse i can see network card in hardware information.



I'm not so familiar with Linux, So I need a detailed help.

In my system installed suse 10.1 and win xp also there.

In Win XP I configured dataone through lan card.
ADSL Modem Model : DB108 (Dare Global).

In XP I could found These settings.

IP address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:192.168.1.1

Preferred DNS server : 61.1.96.69
Alternate DNS Server :61.1.96.71

I had searched this forum on how to configure dataone in suse and tested all within my knowledge but nothing happened good.

still I can't access internet.

that's why I post this thread.

I know very well that the experienced forum members will help me soon.


And I also I request you to give some good links, ebooks or tutorial to learn linux for newbie like me.

there is pppoe-setup command if u r ready to try terminal as root or sudo.
edit:
as root, run
/usr/bin/tkpppoe
