I am using SuSE 10.1 and i have deleted some files to trash. When I want to delete them it says i dont have permission. Anyway I want to delete the files. Can I do it using terminl with any command with or without root access? Actually where the trash folder is? I cant find it.can I use normal way(rm command or like that) to delete the files from trash with root access so that no permission should needed?

hey i think that you've deleted files while you were root user, login as root and then delete those files permanently by shift+delete

If you are using GNOME then you will find the trash directory on the partition from where the original files were deleted. It will be having the name .trash
Notice the <dot> in front of the word "trash"...this indicates that the directory is hidden.

If you are using KDE, then it is located in .local/share/Trash.
