Pro with ubuntu...??

Yesterday i tried to upgrade my ubuntu 5.10 to 6.06 using the software update manager.When i rebooted my PC i was not able to use GNOME display..... its showing dat there is some pro with xserver. So i used the following command :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

But dis didn't solve my pro.... and while booting there was some error in starting and configuring PCMCIA services........

so guys plz help me to solve dis pro..

Looks like the upgrade wasn't clean maybe. But, first if you can give us the proper error then someone will be able to help out better.

....also post ur hardware details like GFX card used..

I got the following errors while loading modules:

starting PCMCIA services..........failed
waiting for n\w interface to come up.........failed

Then it showed fail to start xserver......... then i used the command

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg ......... to configure xserver ....... still i was not able to use GUI....... i can use only in command mode......

BTW my GFX card is intel 82845 G/GL/GE/PV graphics controller.....

Also give the output of uname -r
It happened to me while updating to 6.10, that kernel wasn't updated so there were many problems, like xserver not starting and network interface also could not start.
