Default partition in ipod for linux

i want to create a partition in my ipod for installing its linux firmware .... i want to know wat will i hav to do to create the partition .... after fdisk not to format the partition is all i know abt non-windows partitions

Linux firmware? Can you please tell us what you want to do..in detail? Also please tell us the page from where you got the linux firmware so that we know what is happening. Also tell us the distro you are using including the kernel version.

@mAV3, boss i remember checking out ipodwizard.net forums for all my ipod related probs, u can try out that too
