Question urgent help needed on grub...


i installed mandriva 2006. but set the bootloader to firsr sector of hard disk and not in the mbr. now the mandriva grub bootloader is not showing. win xp is not able to recognize the installation and only "Win XP" option appears in the boot menu after pressing f8. please help...

Boot again with the mandriva CD/DVD and there should be some option like rescue. Go to that and just reinstall grub.
