Try right clicking on an empty space on the desktop and 'Clean Up by Name'

I have also noticed that and I have to repeat that cleanup step everytime I boot my PC. Is there any permanent solution for that...or is it a bug???

Only solution --> Avoid adding desktop icons except default ones...

You can add a drawer to your panel and add icons to it for faster access...

I am sorry if I like all my icons in a line. Or for that matter, I never keep any icons on my desktop

Don't get me wrong...I am just saying that Keep Aligned is of no use at all for the problem mentioned above...That's it.

This is a bug in nautilius, which isn't resolved yet. This bug is already notified to developers. Probably they'll be able to come up with a solution in the next release of gnome.

BTW, Me too doesn't keep anything (Not even computer, home or trash) in desktop.
