Opensource / Freeware text editor

Hi All,

Can any one suggest any open source / freeware text editor which provides log viewing facility with reloading facility. This facility is very well availabe in edit plus 2 but i need a freeware to monitor continuously updated logs on windows.

u can try abiword. i have never used it on windows but i think it offers log viewing.

I know you are looking for freeware, but I can add realtime log viewing facility in TENDS Editor if you pay me :-P

Thanks for your suggestion but AbiWord doesn't have such support to reload log file which is continuously updated by another application.

Can anyone else please help me out ?

prajal, All Linux/UNIX operating systems come with this utility called tail

what you are looking for is $ tail -f /var/log/syslog

something like this functionality... arent you?

try Notepad++ , i use it in windows .

I need such text editor for windows server. Also have installed notepad ++ but i do not find as such any option to see real time logs. Let me know the process to enable that option if any such thing is available.
