Default Bittorrent problems

recently, i started facing very low speeds in bittorrent. they are as low as 5 in my 256 kbps connection. in windows, everything works perfectly with azureus. using linux azureus, it shows me that my ubuntu is firewalled. how can that be? also, what are the possible reasons for the slow speeds?
i had recently changed my plan from 128kbps to 256kbps. can it make any difference?
thnx

Default Re: Bittorrent problems

u can check ur firewall laws or try customising using ``gnome-lokkit`` or ``firestarter`` etc allowing p2p in settings prompt
