Default Broadband in Slackware


Anyone tried this.. I tried netconfig it just doesnt work. I use Slackware 10.2 and use Airtel Broadband with a BEETEL ADSL2+MODEM using usb.

till now i gaven't seen any person surf internet with a USB modem

Well I have right here in this forum. In fact I do remember activating my Motorola broadband modem on Mandriva 2006 by conecting it via USB. It is possible just that it will take some effort. I will just point to the thread maybe that can help. Here's the thread Browsing net via FC4.
Vignesh which stage does the problem lie? Is the modem detected?

Nope...In slackware all config is done mainly in text mode.. So I am still trying.Will let you know..
